A Quiet Reintroduction

Billy Mini hoops

Hi, I’m Georgia

I’m 29, Manchester based, and I run blóma from my little flat, usually with my cat Moth snoring nearby and beads scattered absolutely everywhere.

If you’ve ever opened one of my small brown boxes, liked a post, or read a caption all the way through, hi, that was me.

How blóma Began

Blóma started six years ago, not as a grand plan, but as something to hold onto.

After finishing uni, I felt creatively burnt out and unsure if I wanted to stay in the industry I’d studied for. It was actually my therapist who suggested, “Try making something again. Anything.”

So I did. I made earrings on my bed. I gave them away. I opened a depop shop one random evening. They sold. I panicked. I ran to B&M for shiny metallic pink jiffy bags and posted everything out the next day with shaky hands.

I didn’t mean to start a business, I just needed a creative lifeline. And somehow, six years later, I’m still here. Still making.

Where Things Are Now

I wish I could say it’s been smooth sailing ever since, but lately things have felt a bit… stuck. Like I’ve been chasing a version of blóma that doesn’t quite fit anymore. Something that once felt instinctive now takes more thought, more intention, more effort.

But I’ve realised I don’t just miss making. I miss thinking. Experimenting. Wondering.

So I’m bringing more of that back, not just jewellery, but playful side projects. Words, pictures, ideas that might not be “content” in the usual sense, but still feel like something real.

Little Joys Lately

🌊 Being outside as much as possible (ideally near water, ideally holding three drinks; one for hydration, one for energy, one for vibes)
📺 Such Brave Girls - so so funny
🧺 Car boots; my current happy place, and where I’ve been finding magical vintage bits to create with (I’ll share more soon)

Still Here

So this is me. Still here. Still figuring it out.

If you’re new, hi. If you’ve stuck around, thank you. Your presence makes a bigger difference than you know.

Here’s to the next chapter, whatever shape it takes.
